Most fundraising in schools is conducted by the P&C Association due to their sanction under the Collections Act 1966. The main purpose is to facilitate the development and further improvement of the school.

The P&C is responsible for (among other things):

• developing in conjunction with the school a fundraising program, outlining the purpose of fundraising and how funds raised will be used, and an annual fundraising calendar

• conducting fundraising where the school is the beneficiary

• collecting the funds raised and then transferring funds to the school in the form of a donation [or purchasing items for the school].

Wishart State School P&C has a dedicated Fundraising Coordinator who facilitates the running of a number of events each year to raise funds for projects around the school.  Come and volunteer alongside other school families, make new friends, and have a great time.  There is a job to suit you!
